The Memorial Lecture series is organised by the Lutfia Rabbani Foundation to commemorate its founder, Mahmoud S. Rabbani (1934-2002). The Memorial Lecture brings together academics, students, journalists, members to the Dutch and Arab diplomatic community and friends of the Foundation.
Mahmoud S. Rabbani, throughout his career, sought to promote the values of dialogue, cooperation and educational exchange. As a prominent businessman, philanthropist and leading spokesperson for the Palestinian and Arab points of view in The Netherlands, he dedicated his life’s work towards promoting Euro – Arab dialogue and building bridges between both regions.
The Memorial Lecture sessions focus on regional challenges and possibilities of cooperation between Euro and the MENA region specifically when it comes to Palestine. The lectures include speakers and specialists in the field of Euro-Arab relations, Middle Eastern studies, and conflict resolution.
