Today is the International Day for Human Rights. Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December — the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). As part of raising awareness, Movies that Matter launches its 2019 Embassy Programme. More than 45 Dutch embassies around the world will have screenings of 6 films that deal with the theme of human rights, among them films that deal with Arab identity, Islam, and foreign policy towards the MENA region. Find out more about the films here.
Or contact your local Dutch embassy to find out if a Movies that Matter screening is also being organised in your area.
