Leiden University Fund – Lutfia Rabbani Foundation Scholarship

The Lutfia Rabbani Foundation and the Leiden University Fund are proud to have renewed their partnership on the 21st of February, 2025. This reiterates the commitment of both organisations to support exceptional talent from the Arab region, stressing the importance of international scholarships as a tool to promote Euro-Arab dialogue. It will support students who demonstrate exceptional academic excellence and a strong motivation to promote Euro-Arab dialogue. The Fund shall provide one full scholarship annually to a Master’s student from an Arab country to attend a Master’s programme at Leiden University.

Moreover, the scholarship is strengthened by a mentoring programme that offers the scholarship recipient guidance on a personal and professional level and also provides access to the Foundation’s extensive and diverse network and platforms.

2026 Extra Gaza Scholarship to attend Leiden University

The Lutfia Rabbani Foundation is proud to announce an extra available scholarship to study a Master’s program at Leiden University for Gazan students in collaboration with the Leiden University Fund. This opportunity is available for post-graduate students either inside or outside Gaza. The Foundation encourages all interested students to apply according to the following instructions:

  1. Apply to your desired Master’s course at Leiden University via Studielink.

  2. Acquire a Leiden University personal Student Number.

  3. Apply directly to the Lutfia Rabbani Foundation scholarship via the link below (No acceptance letter is needed, a confirmation of application is sufficient. Please include your student number in your application).

Please be aware that this is not a full scholarship and does not cover all the recipient’s expenses in the Netherlands. Students should be able to submit proof of sufficient funds for their student visa/residence permit application in The Netherlands. Personally the importance of the euro Arab dialogue lies in learning from each other, increasing toleration and sharing our perspectives in order to come up with more inclusive policies.
