Living Costs

Although monthly expenses will change based on your work situation, accommodation, etc. the Dutch government requires that international students (non-EU students) be able to prove that they have a certain fixed amount to cover their living costs for each year they study in the Netherlands. This amount is subjected to an annual increase but was calculated as 11,400 € in 2021. This amount is subject to annual change, so make sure you are up to date. Your university will most likely ask you to show proof of having this amount along with your tuition.
