Our friends at Disarming Design from Palestine started their Summer School last week! This project brings together international and Palestinian students to engage in an intercultural exchange through the development of joint design processes. The Summer School serves as “a forum for exchange and collaboration between students, artisans and the community”. Disarming Design is a project founded by Dutch designer Annelys De Vet aimed at “developing, presenting and selling useful contemporary design pieces from Palestine, designed by contemporary designers, artists and students in collaboration with local producers and artisans”.
