Online Scholarship Application

Eligibility Criteria

Target Group: Law students or practitioners from the Arab World with a  degree in law. For the Online Scholarship, students should apply directly via the Lutfia Rabbani Foundation below. The selection of the candidates is made at the discretion of the Lutfia Rabbani Foundation Selection Committee.

Field of Study: Law

Finances: The Scholarship covers the participation fee for The Hague Academy’s online course.

Terms and Conditions

Once the grant is awarded, students will be invited to register to the course at the Hague Academy and sent terms and conditions form for signature. In agreement with the terms and conditions, students are required to submit a one-page report to the Foundation within a month of completion of the courses.

Applications for the 2026 Summer Online Course are open until May 31st, 2026.

Note: Applicants should NOT register to the Hague Academy of International Law Summer Courses until receiving an acceptance from the Lutfia Rabbani Foundation.

In-Person Scholarship Application

Eligibility Criteria

Target Group: Graduated law students from the Arab World with a Masters or Ph.D degree in law who have been accepted into the winter or summer programme at The Hague Academy of International Law, one of the best International Law institutions in the Netherlands. Students should apply directly to The Hague Academy of Law and follow the application process. The Academy will have discretion on whether or not to provide an acceptance.

Field of Study: Law (Masters or Ph.D level).

Finances: Please note that the scholarship is coordinated by The Hague Academy of International Law. Travel is reimbursed by the Foundation up to a maximum of 350,oo euros.

Terms and Conditions

Once the grant is awarded, a terms and conditions form will be sent to you for signature. In agreement with the terms and conditions, students are required to submit a one-page report to the Foundation within a month of completion of the courses.
