The Lutfia Rabbani Foundation is a private, non-profit organization based in The Hague, the Netherlands, dedicated to promoting Euro-Arab dialogue through education, cultural exchange, and community engagement. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic intern to join our team starting September 2025 for the following position: 

Digital Marketing and Communications Intern

The Digital Marketing and Communications Intern will assist in creating and sharing content that strengthens the Foundation’s visibility and voice. This role is ideal for someone with a creative flair and a passion for storytelling, design, and digital engagement. 

Main tasks: 

  • Updating, creating, and editing online content (social media, website, and newsletter) 
  • Maintaining online contact and collaboration with the Foundation’s key partners and scholars regarding promotional material and social media 
  • Analyzing audience engagement and identifying new communication opportunities and ways to expand reach 
  • Creating marketing campaigns related to activities, scholarship opportunities, partnerships, and events 
  • Editing and creating content for press releases, flyers, online banners, and other visuals 
  • Assisting the team with programme-specific projects, including educational exchange scholarships, grant applications, partnerships, and fundraising 
  • Tracking scholarship awardees’ reports and editing them for publication on the website 
  • Co-organizing large and small events such as informal dialogue sessions, webinars, lectures, cultural events, and networking receptions, and creating corresponding communication plans 
  • Creating, writing, and circulating the Foundation’s newsletter (published twice a year) 

Required qualifications/skills: 

  • Must be based in the Netherlands, preferably in the Hague area 
  • In the final stages of HBO or WO studies in Media and Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field (junior professionals or recent graduates may also apply) 
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken); Dutch is an asset but not required 
  • Availability for six months, approximately three days a week (approx. 10 hours per week) 
  • Affinity with or interest in the Middle East 
  • Preferred proficiency in WordPress, MailerLite, and Microsoft Office 
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a strong asset 
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills 
  • A valid SOFI or BSN number is required
